Asurint’s partnership with the eScreen Occupational Health Network (EOHN) allows its clients to interact with more than 4,500 in-network clinic partners, and over 16,000 total facilities available nationwide including Concentra and US Healthworks. eScreen also partners with a number of SAMHSA certified labs, incorporating the networks of both LabCorp and Quest Diagnostics. Gregg Gay is a leader in the Northeast Ohio community, with over 15 years of experience in owning, developing, and growing businesses. He has served as CEO of Asurint since its inception in 2004.
Prior to co-founding Asurint, Gregg served as an investor and an executive in several successful early stage companies in the HR Technology and Outsourcing industry. Gregg started his career in public accounting with Cooper & Lybrand. He has a B.A. in Accounting from Texas A&M University School of Business and brings a focused expertise in the professional management of high growth companies.
When not emerged in the growth of Asurint, Gregg likes to participate in all the verbs: hunting, fishing, water skiing, wake boarding and flying with his two children. Favorite sport: college football - missing the Texas A&M v. Texas rivalry. He is also active as a member of Young Presidents Organization.
Chris Lund, CFO, has over 30 years of corporate finance and accounting experience in fast growing, entrepreneurial companies. He has led finance teams through the wide ranging issues that come with high growth, including talent acquisition, working capital management, debt acquisition and negotiation, international expansion, real estate portfolio management, M&A, internal controls and compliance, risk assessment, software installations, and financial reporting. Chris’ philosophy is people first, as the foundation of all success starts with the right people.
Prior to joining Asurint, Chris held senior financial positions in professional services firms including CTPartners (NYSE: CTP) and IMG (the world’s oldest and largest sports management firm). Chris began his career at Ernst & Young where he earned his CPA.
Chris grew up in Star Lake, NY, a small mining town in the Adirondacks, where he learned to appreciate the outdoors and became a sports enthusiast. Chris and his wife Claudia have four children and currently reside in South Euclid. Chris chaired IMG’s United Way committee for 10 years, and served as a board member of its Generation Next Leadership Counsel, which was tasked with helping Cleveland firms build customized fund raising programs that fit their culture. He is a past board member of Project Homeless, a non-profit that provided transitional housing for families. Chris served as a volunteer youth basketball and baseball coach for many years, and is an enthusiastic supporter of all things Cleveland, including its sports teams.
Chris has a B.B.A. in Accounting from St. Bonaventure University, and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.

Connie brings over 25 years of management and consulting experience to her role - with expertise in operations, compliance, and in evaluating business needs and designing strategic, high-quality solutions to complex challenges. She understands the complexities of background screening, how technology and innovative solutions are necessary for the best results, and that the client experience is the best “angle” for discovery. Connie is a dynamic and engaged leader who loves to bring out the best in her employees. She values innovation, humor, integrity and problem solving in herself and her team.
Formerly, Connie was the Director of Operations for Insurance Information Exchange (iiX), a $50M risk assessment company and a division of Verisk Analytics (NASDAQ: VRSK), where she developed and maintained the nation’s second largest motor vehicle records reporting platform, and became an elected member of the Industry Advisory Board of American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators. She also values community involvement and currently serves on the boards of The First Tee of Cleveland (www.thefirstteecleveland.org) and YWCA of Cleveland (www.ywcaofcleveland.org) and is a member of In Counsel with Women (www.incounselwithwomen.org). Connie has a B.A. in Communication and M.S. in Management from Texas A&M University.

Steve Palek, Chief Sales Officer, has over 18 years of corporate sales experience and brings a wealth of leadership, industry knowledge, and passion to Asurint. In sitting down with the founders, he quickly realized that Asurint was positioning itself to revolutionize the background screening industry, and that they shared a common vision. Since coming “home” to join Asurint in 2010, Steve has been instrumental in overseeing the company’s explosive growth, maintaining revenue growth of over 35% each year he has been with the organization. One of Steve’s initiatives has been to form strategic partnerships that have allowed the organization to compete with the largest background screening companies in the industry.
Prior to joining Asurint, Steve held sales leadership roles at Pembrooke Occupational Health, a third party administrator for drug testing, and USIS/HireRight. Steve began his career working for Automatic Data Processing (ADP). During his tenure, Steve quickly ascended to a senior leadership role. He was tasked with opening new offices for ADP Totalsource and also repairing underperforming offices. Steve was successful in all of the challenges he was assigned. Due to his commitment and perseverance, he earned the prestigious President’s Club award for 10 consecutive years. Steve’s professional passion is to recruit, build and motivate high flying sales teams.
Steve’s leadership skills are not only seen in the board room, but the athletic fields where he has committed his time to coaching youth baseball, football, and soccer. Along with his corporate initiative to provide assistance to non-profit organizations across the country, Steve has personally contributed his time to homeless shelters and food banks around his community in Northeast Ohio. While professional accolades have followed Steve throughout his career, he mentions being a husband and a father to his three children as his greatest achievements. Steve would not be the leader he is today without the unwavering support of his family, specifically his father who Steve credits as the single most influential person in his life.

Chris Sullivan, Chief Technology Officer, has over 12 years of experience in software development, enterprise architecture, and IT leadership. He has led high performing IT teams in both the corporate and consulting worlds. He prides himself on his ability to foster innovation, encourage autonomy, and instill passion for what his teams are responsible for delivering to the business. These all feed into a great corporate culture, which Chris feels is important in leading successful teams.
Prior to joining Asurint, Chris worked as a programmer analyst for a Fortune 500 company where he forged a solid foundation in enterprise architecture and application design. It was at this same organization that Chris came to understand the magnitude of his passion for technology and realize his natural talent to lead teams. From there, he transitioned into technology consulting, helping organizations throughout Northeastern Ohio with strategic planning, technology acquisition and scheduled solutions delivery.
Chris grew up in Columbus, Ohio, where he lived with his parents and twin brother. He attributes his competitiveness and drive to succeed to growing up with a twin and playing an array of sports. He participated in baseball-related activities year-round and was a member of his high school baseball team. After graduating, he headed north to Cleveland to attend Case Western Reserve University where he continued his athletic career as a member of the university's baseball team while earning a B.S. in Computer Engineering.
