Finding Gold: Hiring Process Insights from the Experts

Back to Blog
Talent is a precious commodity in today’s business environment. And much like gold, it’s getting harder and harder to find.

Every company is competing for qualified, enthusiastic, dedicated employees. It can be difficult to set yourself apart and attract, screen, and onboard the best people. Generational shifts in employment expectations, new communications media, and a rapidly changing job market only add to the challenge.

Many employers faced hiring process issues before COVID-19 hit. Now social distancing has switched up interviews, job fairs, and more. And with the high unemployment rate, many job seekers grab the first offer they receive, leaving companies no time to waste if they want to secure their top candidates.

We understand how hard it is to be hiring right now, but we’re here to help. That’s why Asurint is bringing together four leading recruitment and onboarding experts to talk about the hiring process in detail. The panel discussion, Adapting Virtually: 5 Ways to Improving Your Hiring Process will be held on Thursday, November 19th at 12:00 PM EST. It will include insights from:

Elisabeth Mayer, Talent Acquisition Specialist

Elisabeth is dedicated to engaging with qualified candidates who enhance the company culture. She has supported a variety of different industries in her career, focusing on manufacturing, office professional, and sales roles. When collaborating with hiring managers, Elisabeth prefers to be a partner in the recruiting process, working together to identify successful candidates and onboard them in a timely manner.

Ryan Ellis, Strategic Talent Advisor

Ryan has worked in the Talent Acquisition space for almost 15 years and has experience in Manufacturing, Healthcare, and IT. Currently, Ryan is leading the US Recruitment team at Lincoln Electric and focused on keeping Professional, Production, and University Relations staffed appropriately.  In addition, his team handles the onboarding and training for all new hires who start in the Cleveland Operations business.

Ellias Kahwaji, Account Manager, Application Services

Ellias is an Account Manager with TEKsystems, and has been with the company for close to 3 years. TEKsystems is a national IT staffing and services provider, and their Northeast Ohio office is located in Independence. In his role, Ellias partners with IT Hiring Managers and Recruiters to assist them with their various IT needs.

The program facilitator will be Huda Farunia, Asurint’s Vice President for Human Resources and a hiring specialist in her own right. She’ll guide the group through a discussion of how steps like job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, and making an offer have evolved in recent years and reveal tactics to help employers maximize success.

Most importantly, she’ll take questions from attendees, so you can get recommendations to strengthen your existing processes and benefit from innovative ideas to take your strategies to the next level—even in the unusual environment in which we’re all operating.

When it comes to talent, there’s no prize for second best. So go for the gold and land the candidates you need before someone else does. Register now to be part of the Adapting Virtually: 5 Ways to Improving Your Hiring Process discussion on November 19th at noon.

Even if something comes up for that day (we know how it is!), we’ll make sure you get all the information. Asurint will send you a link you to the webinar recording as soon as it’s available. Simply sign up here to get on the list so you don’t miss a thing!
